Policies and Politics

Most of us go through our lives taking care of business, doing what we need to do, nose to the grindstone. And it is a good to show personal responsibility.

But there are forces out there that shape our lives in many ways - subtle and overt. There are policies in place and political games played that control many aspects of our lives, and we are often unaware of them until we collide with them.

It isn't hopeless.

Wake up, become educated, and get a little active. Find the policies that you like and support them. Closely examine politiciant - both what they say and more importantly what they do - and support the good ones.

I'm not telling you what cause to champion. I'm not telling you how to support a cause. I'm not telling you how to vote.

But I believe that it is important that you do such things.
